WFI Water
Mediatech produces Water for Injection (WFI) quality water. Although it meets the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) testing requirements for WFI, it is not meant as an injectable. Raw water is processed through mixed beds to remove gross impurities, then filtered by reverse osmosis and deionized through cation and anion beds before distillation. Mediatech's state of the art in-house water system provides highly-purified water, free of any added components, ideal for many applications in the research and biopharmaceutical industry. This advanced process incorporates innovative techniques at every stage to reduce bioburden and maintain low endotoxin levels.
WFI-Quality Water Applications: Raw material for manufacturing, cell culture, process validation, device processing, purification buffers, or chromatography buffers, etc.
Molecular grade water is ideal for the preparation of reagents, rinsing glassware and plasticware, and other molecular biology applications where RNase, DNase, and Protease-free water is required. No toxic agents, including DEPC, are used in the preparation of Mediatech's molecular grade water, eliminating possible interferences with enzymatic reactions. Perfect for critical molecular biology processes where low endotoxin and the absence of nuclease and protease activity is a must, including: buffer preparation, DNA/RNA purification, DNA sequencing and libraries, recombinant DNA, cloning, gene mapping, Northern blots, Southern blots, and Western Blots, etc.
